Butterhead lettuce at our UrbanPonics farm has tender, sweet leaves. The flavour is buttery and mild. The leaves are silky bright green in colour.

It pairs well with most dressings and can enhance the flavour and texture of your salad. The distinctive floral sweetness pairs well with sharp flavours like cheese and citrus. Our butterhead lettuce have nice large leaves, making it great for using as tortillas for tacos, wraps and other filling recipes.

These nutritional leaves are higher in folate, iron, and potassium. They are extremely low in calories, rich in fiber and water. We deliver our butterhead lettuce often with the roots to preserve its freshness.

It is also known by names Boston lettuce, Bib lettuce.

FUN FACT: Butterhead lettuce contains higher amounts of iron than other lettuces.
