Arugula

Arugula from UrbanPonics farm has a distinctive taste. It has peppery and nutty flavour and spicy notes. The leaves are long slightly spike in shape and soft. We harvest the leaves when it is two or three inches long , or much larger with a defined outline of the leaf , depending on the plants maturity.

Arugula is rich in nutrients and high in Vitamin A , a powerful antioxidant that supports immune function. This herb is specially used in salads and is called by many names like garden rocket, salad rocket, roquette.

FUN FACT:

Arugula officially belongs to the fresh herb category, but it is often eaten as a vegetable. For this reason, you will often find it in the lettuce section.
